Ministries
“Go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to all creation” (Mk. 16:15)

As we pray we are called to a life of service which is our response to the needs of the Body of Christ. We contribute to the Christian upbuilding of the world community by engaging in apostolic works that utilize the gifts of each Sister while fulfilling the needs of the local Church. We feel particularly called to the ministry of evangelization. Special attention is given to areas which foster spiritual and human development, education formation, Christian social responsibility and prayer.

Educational programs and retreat experiences are offered throughout the year at the Incarnation Center.

Retreats
A retreat is a time to be refreshed, to pray; to be quiet and to walk with God. This time, set aside for our spiritual life, deepens our relationship with and gives us renewed energy to follow the way of Jesus’ gospel.

A conference retreat/day of reflection provides an opportunity for spiritual nourishment and time for reflection on our own spiritual life through the use of presentations by a retreat director. At times this type of retreat may include creative outlets such as pottery, quilting, and drawing as a means of assisting an individual to be in touch with God in a variety of ways.

A directed retreat is a silent retreat during which each retreatant meets daily with a spiritual director. The spiritual director assists the retreatant to listen to God through scripture and through his/her own life experiences. The spiritual director will also provide guidance on methods of prayer.

A private retreat is a time when an individual takes time for quiet and reflection without the companionship of a spiritual director. While enjoying the grounds and facilities of the Incarnation Center, an individual spends a few hours or days focusing on God away from the distractions of daily life.

Classes
Classes are generally scheduled for a specified time period each week for a publicized number of weeks. Information is presented on a specific topic or a book that is read in common. This is a time of sharing and learning from each other.

Retreats, Days of Reflection and Classes are offered at the Incarnation Center and throughout the Diocese. These experiences may be brought to your group or parish based upon the availability of a Sister qualified to address the requested topic.
