Conversion-What Keeps Us from God
Saturday, February 13, 2010 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
In our fast-paced, technological age, it is easy to “ease God out” of our lives. One good way to get ready for Lent is to set aside time to honestly look at our lives, to see what keeps us from putting God first.
Presenter: Sr. Cindy Burns, CCW

Reclaiming Our Baptismal Promises
Saturday, February 20, 2010 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Lent is the Church’s 40 day “retreat” that prepares us to renew our baptismal promises at Easter. Take some time at the beginning of Lent to reflect on the promises made at your baptism: to renounce evil & sin, and to affirm the life of the Trinity in your life.

The overriding message of the book of Luke reinforces that God has acted through Jesus Christ to meet our deepest needs. Luke encourages us to welcome God’s actions throughout our lives and, in turn, to go out and offer God’s mercy to the world around us.
